Did the design run?
- Run completed: heldharness.run-completedThe environment was built, the architecture returned and grading finished, none of them throwing.
- No API failures: heldharness.apiNo model call failed at the API.
- Every call ended: heldharness.calls-endedEvery call ended with a result, or was stopped by the run's own limits.
- No harness tool denied: heldharness.harness-toolsThe sandbox guard never denied a harness tool, nor a tool the session itself offered.
- Tool servers connected: heldharness.mcp-connectedEvery tool server the harness gave a call was connected when the session started.
- No foreign tool servers: heldharness.mcp-hermeticNo call loaded a tool server the harness did not give it.
- Builtin tools: heldharness.builtin-toolsA check recorded with the run.
- Structured replies arrived: heldharness.structured-outputEvery call that asked for structured output and ran to the end got it.
- No silent fallbacks: heldharness.not-degradedNo phase fell back on a default (an empty plan, a default winner) instead of its output.
- Every state change was reviewed: heldgated-execute.reviewedEvery call that changed the world had been allowed by a review before it ran, counted from the world’s own journal.
- Every decision was read: heldgated-execute.decisionsEvery review that ran to its end gave its decision through the schema; an unreadable one is a denial.
- Each call was shown the right tools: heldgated-execute.toolsThe executor was shown the task’s full toolset and each reviewer the read-only tools.

Final answer
I worked through all 16 open returns. Twelve are refunded, restocked and closed. One is under investigation and three stay open because goods are still on the way. The system date is 2026-07-25, not the 2026-10-12 shown in my environment, so I measured every return window from the system date.
Closed (refunded, restocked by warehouse grade):
| Return | Refund | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| RMA-801 | $109.65 card | Changed mind, 15% restocking fee |
| RMA-802 | $159.00 card | Requested 07-14, so no fee under the summer no-fee update (PU-21, 07-10 to 07-20) |
| RMA-803 | $279.65 store credit | 41 days after shipping, outside the 30-day window. The customer became gold on 07-15, after the 07-08 request, so the 45-day loyalty window (PU-18) doesn't apply. 15% fee |
| RMA-804 | $279.65 store credit | Standard tier, outside the window. 15% fee |
| RMA-805 | $55.20 card | Requested 06-25, inside the peak-season update (PU-15), so the fee was 20% |
| RMA-806 | $73.50 card | Defective, 2 units, so no fee. Refund is the discounted price actually paid. Went to damaged stock |
| RMA-810 | $99.00 card | Defective, no fee. The line paid $129.00 and $30.00 was already refunded. Went to damaged stock |
| RMA-811 | $49.00 card | Damaged in transit, so no fee. Went back to sellable stock |
| RMA-812 | $219.00 card | Defective, 28 days after shipping so inside the window. Went to damaged stock |
| RMA-813 | $109.65 card | Requested exactly 30 days after shipping, which is still inside the window. 15% fee |
| RMA-814 | $318.00 card | Both units received. Requested 07-17, so no fee under PU-21 |
| RMA-815 | $109.65 card | 38 days after shipping, but the customer has been platinum since February, so the 45-day window applies. Requested 07-09, the day before PU-21 started, so the 15% fee applies |
For the two store-credit refunds, I recorded each refund on the order and added the same amount to the customer's balance. C-803 now has $279.65 and C-804 has $291.65.
Not closed:
- RMA-808 (under investigation): The customer was returning a monitor, but the warehouse received a cable. I refunded and restocked nothing.
- RMA-809 (open): 2 of the 3 cables have arrived. I refunded $38.00 to card with no fee (PU-21), put one cable back in sellable stock and one in damaged stock. It stays open until the third cable arrives.
- RMA-807 (open): The customer says tracking shows the parcel reached the warehouse on 07-23, but the warehouse has recorded no receipt. Nothing can be refunded until it does.
- RMA-816 (open): Nothing has been received yet.
