Did the design run?
- Run completed: heldharness.run-completedThe environment was built, the architecture returned and grading finished, none of them throwing.
- No API failures: heldharness.apiNo model call failed at the API.
- Every call ended: heldharness.calls-endedEvery call ended with a result, or was stopped by the run's own limits.
- No harness tool denied: heldharness.harness-toolsThe sandbox guard never denied a harness tool, nor a tool the session itself offered.
- Tool servers connected: heldharness.mcp-connectedEvery tool server the harness gave a call was connected when the session started.
- No foreign tool servers: heldharness.mcp-hermeticNo call loaded a tool server the harness did not give it.
- Builtin tools: heldharness.builtin-toolsA check recorded with the run.
- Structured replies arrived: heldharness.structured-outputEvery call that asked for structured output and ran to the end got it.
- No silent fallbacks: heldharness.not-degradedNo phase fell back on a default (an empty plan, a default winner) instead of its output.
- The task was decomposed: heldorchestrator-workers.decompositionThe orchestrator’s reply was read through its schema and held at least one subtask.
- The fan-out happened: heldorchestrator-workers.fan-outEvery subtask got a worker, every worker ran, and the recorded subagent count matches.
- The synthesis wrote the answer: heldorchestrator-workers.synthesisThe final answer came from the synthesis call, not from a worker’s report standing in for it.
- Each call was shown the right tools: heldorchestrator-workers.toolsThe orchestrator and the synthesis were shown no tools and every worker the task’s full toolset.

Final answer
R3311 is cancelled. It was settled as $248.00 in travel credit, not as a refund to Marcus's card. One point below about the date should be confirmed before we tell Marcus anything.
Why it's credit and not a card refund
The worker checked the refund policy before moving any money and found:
- Fare: R3311 is basic economy, which can't be refunded on its own. It was booked on 2026-04-11, so the 24-hour full-refund window has long passed.
- Trip insurance: Marcus did buy it. It only pays back to the card if he cancels at least 14 days before departure. The refund policy tool gave today's date as 2026-07-28, and the flight (AA660, SFO→BOS) leaves 2026-08-05. That's 8 days out, so the policy settles the fare as travel credit.
- Cancellation fee: The usual $50.00 fee is waived because Marcus is a platinum member. That's why the credit is the full $248.00.
What was done
- Read the reservation, refund policy, ledger (no prior entries) and Marcus's profile.
- Cancelled R3311 and released the seat.
- Recorded one ledger entry, L1, for $248.00 in travel credit. Nothing went back to the card.
No other bookings or records were changed.
Message for Marcus: You'll get the full $248, but as travel credit rather than back on your card. Your trip insurance only refunds to the card if you cancel at least 14 days before departure, and this cancellation came 8 days before the flight.
Unresolved: which date is today
The refund policy tool treated today as 2026-07-28. My environment, and the worker's, says it's 2026-10-06. The worker used the booking system's date because that system still showed the flight as scheduled. I can't confirm which date is right.
If today really is 2026-10-06, the 2026-08-05 flight has already left. In that case the cancellation, the travel credit and the 8-day reasoning may all be wrong. Please check the system date before confirming the outcome to Marcus.
