Did the design run?

every check held
  • Run completed: heldharness.run-completedThe environment was built, the architecture returned and grading finished, none of them throwing.
  • No API failures: heldharness.apiNo model call failed at the API.
  • Every call ended: heldharness.calls-endedEvery call ended with a result, or was stopped by the run's own limits.
  • No harness tool denied: heldharness.harness-toolsThe sandbox guard never denied a harness tool, nor a tool the session itself offered.
  • Tool servers connected: heldharness.mcp-connectedEvery tool server the harness gave a call was connected when the session started.
  • No foreign tool servers: heldharness.mcp-hermeticNo call loaded a tool server the harness did not give it.
  • Builtin tools: heldharness.builtin-toolsA check recorded with the run.
  • Structured replies arrived: heldharness.structured-outputEvery call that asked for structured output and ran to the end got it.
  • No silent fallbacks: heldharness.not-degradedNo phase fell back on a default (an empty plan, a default winner) instead of its output.
  • All three proposers ran: heldpropose-select.proposalsThree proposers ran in parallel, each from its own angle, and none was starved while another ran.
  • The selector chose: heldpropose-select.selectionThe selector picked a proposal by a valid number, read from its schema reply and not a default.
  • Each call was shown the right tools: heldpropose-select.toolsEach proposer was shown the read-only tools, the selector none, and the executor the full toolset.

Final answer

I cancelled reservation R3311 and gave Marcus the full $248.00 as travel credit. He asked for the money back on his card, but the refund rules don't allow that for this booking.

Why he didn't get the card refund:

  • His ticket is basic economy, which can't be refunded on its own.
  • His trip insurance only pays back to the card if he cancels at least 14 days before departure. The refund policy for this reservation gives today as 2026-07-28, which is 8 days before his 2026-08-05 flight (AA660, SFO→BOS). That close to departure, the insurance turns the fare into travel credit instead.
  • He's a Platinum member, so the $50 cancellation fee doesn't apply and he keeps the full $248.
  • Nothing had been refunded on this reservation before, so the full $248 was owed.

What I did: I first re-checked the reservation, the refund policy, his passenger record and the payment record (it was empty). Everything matched the plan. Then I made two changes:

  1. Cancelled R3311 and released the seat.
  2. Recorded one entry: $248.00 (24800 cents) as travel credit. There was no separate fee and no card refund.

I didn't change any other booking, passenger record or flight.

Date conflict: my session date is 2026-10-05, but the refund policy says today is 2026-07-28, and AA660 still shows as scheduled. The refund policy decides refunds, so I went by its date. If 2026-10-05 were the real date, the flight would already be in the past and this would need to be looked at again.

Message for Marcus: "Your reservation R3311 is cancelled. Your trip insurance only refunds to your card if you cancel at least 14 days before departure. Your flight is 8 days away, so the insurance gives you the full $248 fare as travel credit instead. As a Platinum member you don't pay the $50 cancellation fee, so you get the full $248 as credit. We can't put the money back on your card."
