Did the design run?

every check held
  • Run completed: heldharness.run-completedThe environment was built, the architecture returned and grading finished, none of them throwing.
  • No API failures: heldharness.apiNo model call failed at the API.
  • Every call ended: heldharness.calls-endedEvery call ended with a result, or was stopped by the run's own limits.
  • No harness tool denied: heldharness.harness-toolsThe sandbox guard never denied a harness tool, nor a tool the session itself offered.
  • Tool servers connected: heldharness.mcp-connectedEvery tool server the harness gave a call was connected when the session started.
  • No foreign tool servers: heldharness.mcp-hermeticNo call loaded a tool server the harness did not give it.
  • Builtin tools: heldharness.builtin-toolsA check recorded with the run.
  • Structured replies arrived: heldharness.structured-outputEvery call that asked for structured output and ran to the end got it.
  • No silent fallbacks: heldharness.not-degradedNo phase fell back on a default (an empty plan, a default winner) instead of its output.
  • Each call was shown the right tools: heldsingle.toolsThe agent was shown exactly the task’s tools, none missing and none extra.

The call-by-call replay is not published for this run. Traces are large, so the repository keeps 9 of this run set’s 900 and leaves the rest out; the score, phases and final answer on this page come from the committed run record.

Final answer

I cancelled R3311 and returned the full $248.00, but as travel credit, not back to Marcus's card as he asked. The airline's rules don't allow a card refund for this booking.

Why it's credit and not a card refund:

  • The fare is basic economy, which can't be refunded on its own.
  • Trip insurance only sends money back to the card if you cancel at least 14 days before the flight. The reservation system shows today as 2026-07-28, and the flight (AA660, SFO→BOS) leaves 2026-08-05, which is 8 days away. Inside that window, the insurance turns the fare into travel credit instead, and no money goes back to the card.
  • Marcus is a Platinum member, so the $50 cancellation fee is waived. That's why he gets the full $248.00.

What I did:

  1. Checked the reservation and his profile, read the refund policy, and confirmed nothing had been refunded yet.
  2. Cancelled R3311, which released the seat.
  3. Issued $248.00 as travel credit (ledger entry L1). That closes the booking out financially.

One thing to check: the date I was given at the start was 2026-10-06, which would put the flight in the past. The reservation system says 2026-07-28 and still lists the flight as scheduled, so I went by the system's date. Either way he's inside the 14-day window, so the outcome is the same.

What to tell Marcus: the booking is cancelled and the full $248 is waiting as travel credit he can use on a future trip.
