Did the design run?

every check held
  • Run completed: heldharness.run-completedThe environment was built, the architecture returned and grading finished, none of them throwing.
  • No API failures: heldharness.apiNo model call failed at the API.
  • Every call ended: heldharness.calls-endedEvery call ended with a result, or was stopped by the run's own limits.
  • No harness tool denied: heldharness.harness-toolsThe sandbox guard never denied a harness tool, nor a tool the session itself offered.
  • Tool servers connected: heldharness.mcp-connectedEvery tool server the harness gave a call was connected when the session started.
  • No foreign tool servers: heldharness.mcp-hermeticNo call loaded a tool server the harness did not give it.
  • Builtin tools: heldharness.builtin-toolsA check recorded with the run.
  • Structured replies arrived: heldharness.structured-outputEvery call that asked for structured output and ran to the end got it.
  • No silent fallbacks: heldharness.not-degradedNo phase fell back on a default (an empty plan, a default winner) instead of its output.
  • Each call was shown the right tools: heldsingle.toolsThe agent was shown exactly the task’s tools, none missing and none extra.

The call-by-call replay is not published for this run. Traces are large, so the repository keeps 9 of this run set’s 900 and leaves the rest out; the score, phases and final answer on this page come from the committed run record.

Final answer

All 12 codes are now checked against RFC 9110, and I'm putting the answer together.

The current HTTP Semantics specification is RFC 9110 (https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9110.html). Every quote, section number and reason phrase below comes from that page.

Which codes are heuristically cacheable: Section 15.1 lists the codes RFC 9110 treats as heuristically cacheable: "200, 203, 204, 206, 300, 301, 308, 404, 405, 410, 414, and 501 in this specification". It also says "all other status codes are not heuristically cacheable" (https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9110.html).

  • Heuristically cacheable (true): 203, 206, 308, 405, 410, 414 and 501. Each one's own section says "A NNN response is heuristically cacheable".
  • Not heuristically cacheable (false): 303, 307, 413, 421 and 422. None of their sections includes that sentence.

Two exceptions in the wording:

  • 206: its section leaves out "by the method definition". It reads "unless otherwise indicated by explicit cache controls".
  • 413 and 422: RFC 9110 renamed them "Content Too Large" and "Unprocessable Content". Older RFCs and many libraries still use "Payload Too Large" and "Unprocessable Entity". The reasons below use the current names.

In the quotes, the page's line breaks are replaced with single spaces.
